INTRODUCTION

Asha is a voluntary effort of the Archdiocese of Bangalore to promote an integrated Development to the Marginalized
    children of the Archdiocese .
It is Shocking to see the result of survey conducted by Human Development for Karnataka in 1999. Out of total
Estimated child population of 94 lakhs; in the age 6 - 14 years,_26 lakhs are out schools!!!
In Bangalore alone,35000 children were living in the streets in the late 1980’s, and the number has now risen to
    60000.
Out of every 100 children who join primary school in Karnataka in the first standard, by the 6th standard 50 children
have are left. Only 7 of every 100 children finish 12 years of schooling.
At the tragic plight of children, the Archdiocese of Bangalore has stepped into pitch in the mite in reaching quality
education to the remotest parts of the districts of Bangalore. This step involves cost but fruit of the investment is
going to be beautiful. We need partners to work with us. We need people who care for the future of these children. We
work for every child who is a gift of GOD without caste , creed, or discrimination. We want to give future with Hope
